The 20th Ward was home to 207 vacant city-owned properties when I took office. Since that time, we have sold 66 of those properties and have another 27 under contract. That’s over 40% of our City-owned inventory in just four years.
We are getting the City out of the land ownership business and putting people back into our dilapidated buildings here in the 20th Ward!!

Building Permits Up!
Since taking office in 2015, building permits for the 20th Ward have gone up more than 7-fold from less than $1M in 2014 to over $6M in 2017. Fiscal Year 2018 shows month over month growth for each month. Most of this work is in rehab projects -- addressing vacancy through investment.
